PAS Field Test Engineer

Discipline: Automation


Role Responsibilities:

·        Ensuring that supplied equipment meets customer and project specifications through inspection, testing and recording all checks

·        Confirming that all factory corrective actions have been completed and equipment is considered safe and ready for testing by the supplier

·        Visual inspection of equipment ready for power up

·        Connection of specialist test equipment

·        Ensuring all interfaces are ready for testing

·        Ensuring all test procedures are in place and being followed

·        Undertaking tests and accurately recording results and corrective actions

·        Performing a first level of diagnostics/fault finding and corrective actions referring to subject matter experts when needed

·        Manage and interface with the customer representative(s) during testing

·        Provide progress reporting to the project team


Job Requirements

·        Minimum qualification: HNC/HND or equivalent experience

·        Industrial experience with hands-on experience with Honeywell Safety Manager and Experion systems, field interfaces and equipment is desired

·        Working experience of associated documentation such as Cause/effects, P&IDs, Control narratives, Data sheets and test procedures

·        Experience of Factory Acceptance and ideally Site Acceptance and Pre-commissioning and commissioning support

·        Hands-on experience with configuration of applications, testing and commissioning of Honeywell Safety Manager and/or Experion control

·        Familiarity with fundamentals of cybersecurity for Industrial Control Systems

·        Experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore or infrastructure industries

·        Willingness to undertake travel and site rotations over an extended period. (50% travel expected)

·        Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
